I am 21 and have 2 daughters; as a result I haven't had a proper job or been able to go back to college to get any qualifications, but I really want to become a photographer and there isn't really any other job I see myself doing. The only experience I have is taking photos of close family and friends. Is there any possibilty that a company that will give me a chance and take me on, or will I have to work really hard and earn some qualifications?

I don't really know how to write a CV or fill in an application form as I've never had to do either. I've only done two jobs in the whole of my career (I worked in an office for 20 years, then moved to do night shift as a care assistant and also work on a casual basis for the local hospice). Now I feel a change of career and shift pattern would suit me better. I love working with people and I love to care for them. I would welcome any advice.

I am 37 years old and with no formal qualifications, I have a one year old and a nine year old, my boyfriend wants another baby but in the meantime I have looked at access courses and there is a possibility of me going to university for a medical degree that I understand is very hard and takes five years before I start earning. I don't know what to do and all these years I have wanted this degree but never had the confidence but life seems to be always in the way. I work part-time and am studying for my Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification. My class is outside of my contracted hours so I arrange childcare for when I am at university. I'm not paid by my employer for this time, but my full-time colleagues are paid for the time they are at university. Is this fair?
