My employers are calculating my maternity pay from the 15th week before my baby is due and eight weeks back. Can I confirm it is the payslips they look at so not what I actually worked in the qualifying weeks?
My timesheet was late getting processed one month due to me being on holiday then my line manager being away. So I did not receive a payment the next month but double the month after. So has this effected my SMP because if they look how much I received into my bank in those two months it was only the one payment for one month's work.

I have worked for my company for three years and have been on maternity leave for five months. I have just been told that I am being made redundant and that my remaining maternity leave will be paid to me along with my redundancy pay and months notice. The company have said that as that gross amount comes to just over £6,000 I will be subject to the higher tax band. Is this correct as you don't pay tax on redundancy pay which for me is three weeks pay at £1,200? They have said this will work itself out, but I am assuming that wouldn't be until the next tax year.

I work full time for a company, working 37 hours and I have a second job with them in which I only work 1 hour per week teaching a fitness class. They have informed me that I will get maternity pay for both jobs for up to 52 weeks. I intend to take 39 weeks off, but would like to return to job 2 asap. Is it possible to go back to job 2 & lose the maternity pay for job 2 without it affecting the maternity pay I receive for my full-time job. I would really appreciate any advice you could offer. Also, my payroll department informed me that I received maternity pay for job 1 & 2 for 6 weeks, but after the 6 weeks I was only getting maternity pay for job 1. They advised me to speak to HR who told me my maternity pay was based on my earnings in July & August & I wouldn't receive any more maternity pay for job 2 as it is based solely on my contracted 37 hours for job 1. Do you know if the period I receive maternity pay should be the same for both jobs?

I have been working for the same agency for about a year without a break. I worked all the time in the same company from Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 16.00. After three months of working for them I fell pregnant but continued to work. I signed a contract with the agency which did not say when it was going to end. Right now I am on my Statutory Maternity Pay. My manager told me that I am not employed by them any more although I get paid by them and there is not any big difference if I am getting pay from them or the jobcentre. He said that he would also try to fix me up with some work after my maternity leave and that I am still active with them on the database. I would like to know my status right now and if I am entitled to maternity leave.

I am due to start my maternity leave next week (on my due date) and have just received a letter from my current employer stating that my current role is being made redundant. The only role they can offer me is more hours and in a different location - which is not what I want. Please can you advise what redundancy rights/package I would be entitled to (I have worked 4.5 years with them - so am assuming i get four weeks stat redundancy pay). However, am I entitled to this aswell as my full SMP for 9months? If I take the redundancy package and SMP, am I then restricted to when I start applying for another job?)
