I am on maternity leave. My department is being restructured and I had to apply for roles I had been matched against. I wasn't successful, but my maternity cover was. I didn’t have enough time to prepare. I now have to apply for lower paid jobs, but if they are too low paid I could be made redundant. Is this allowed?
I was due back from maternity leave on 16th March and told I would have to work weekends and one night a week. I resigned, but was contacted on Facebook by my boss and offered an alternative which I accepted. I then dislocated my knee. My boss says as I am unable to return on 16th my resignation has been accepted.
I am due to go on maternity leave in a few months and my employer has approached me to find out what my intentions are when I return. I have expressed a wish to request flexible working hours, but have been told this is too soon as the company is unsure what the situation will be in a year. I am worried they will reject it.
I was made redundant in December and have just found out I am pregnant. I have never been unemployed before and feel completely out of my depth. How should I handle this in job searching?
I have been made redundant, but want to change career. I work in publishing, but I would like to do something working with children with learning difficulties. However, I have no money to retrain. How can I go about this without having to start at the bottom rung, which I can't afford?
