Promoting a franchise: ask the expert
I am thinking of buying into a language teaching franchise, but I am a bit unconfident about my ability to market my franchise locally. I know the franchise provides some support, but is there any other marketing support available?

Although the franchisor will be providing marketing, will they also be providing training to help you achieve additional results yourself? A properly set up franchise should teach you all of the basics, so even if you are unconfident now, this may be resolved with the training and support provided - always check this.
In regards to external promotion specific to franchises, one initiative at the moment is Proud to Franchise. All franchisor members of the bfa can sign up for the initiative, which then helps to promote all the positive aspects to
consumers about buying from franchise businesses. It is already gaining national coverage and continuing to grow.
