I began my maternity leave in May last year, but haven't been paid my maternity pay since June. After chasing my boss for my pay and having no response I went to the DWP and set up a formal dispute. My boss won't respond to them and is ignoring me. I still haven't been paid and he now owes me over six months of pay. I sent him an e-mail saying that I intend to return to work soon, but don't expect a response and know from a colleague (who isn't on maternity leave and hasn't been paid since July either) that the business has moved premises, so unless he gets back to me when I do return to work I won't know where to go. I am wondering what my next course of action should be. I would like to force him into making me redundant, or be able to take him to a tribunal for constructive dismissal, but have been told that this would be hard to prove. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am unhappy about childcare in my nursery. My two year old appears scared of staff. They are unfriendly to me, never say hello and ignore my son when he comes in. I also find him abandoned in a corner on his own when I pick him up. He had a couple of accidents-bruised nose, scratches and bumbs. He comes home dehydrated and very thirsty - his daily sheet shows he has dry nappies all day long.Once they called me asking me where he was despite him being there! The last incident was when he left the nursery unnoticed and another parent found him outside and brought him back!
The staff informed me about this incident when I came to pick him but played it down. I feel someone hurts him there as he seems terrified of some of the staff, clinging to me and holding tight, which is unusual as he is very sociable and likes company otherwise. Also he is terrified when I
want to change his nappies, screaming and holding his hands in front. He gets happy as soon as he is dressed again. I don't want to cause problems or accuse anyone, but I feel something wrong is going on in the nursery. What can I do?

My children have been going to a childminder for over a year. She emailed me this month after a few days of messing us around and not having the children saying that she will not be having my children any more as of then. She attached her invoice for November which I believe she is overcharging for as she took time off then as well. I have had to pay for temporary childcare and my husband is going to miss some work which he will not get paid for while we desperately try to make more stable arrangements. I was wondering what would be our position is regarding her breaking our contract and being paid as with all the missing work etc it will cause us a lot of financial difficulty now.…

I am currently on maternity leave and was recently called into my employers for an 'update' meeting with my HR Director. Whilst waiting in reception a colleague of mine advised me that a communication had been sent out across our business to advise that my maternity cover had been awarded my role permantently. I had not been told. Once in my meeting HR confirmed this was the case and advised that the new MD did not want any changes and that my replacement was up to date with the new strategy. They offered to find me an alternative role. I have been with the company for six years and in my current role for a year. Earlier during my maternity leave they switched off my phone and also told me in a meeting that my role could not be done part time. Can they force me into an alternative role?

I am due to go on maternity leave soon and my employer has not replaced me with maternity cover. My workplace is going through a restructure and my manager has told me she does not think our department will be affected. She has also told me that I will have a job when I return from maternity leave. I am concerned that my role
will be distributed in the department and I may not have a job to go back to. Should I be worried?
