What to wear for a Job Interview

You’ve bagged that sought-after interview, but now the big dilemma comes. What do you wear to the interview? Here are some tips.
Firstly, research the organisation you hope to work for. If they adopt a casual style, aim to wear something casual but smart. The general rule is that you want to look as if you will fit in so you need to dress one step up from what people in the organisation generally wear.
The humble interview suit is always a safe bet and it is best to wear something that is not too fussy or bright. It should definitely be clean. You want to look like you care about your appearance.
Cleavage is not generally a good idea. You want people to focus on your ideas and your suitability for the job, after all. Don’t over-accessorise or wear enormous jewellry or joke ties.
It is important to be comfortable in what you are wearing. If an outfit is too tight, for instance, you will not be able to relax and focus on the questions you are being asked.
If you can, why not treat yourself to a new outfit? Looking good may help to build your confidence and confidence is key in interview situations.
Don’t cover your head, eg, with a cap or hoodie, unless this is because of religious reasons. It gives the impression you are trying to hide something.
Don’t overdo the make-up or perfume/aftershave. Everything about your appearance should be neutral. It’s like when you are selling your house. The advice is to paint everything in muted colours so people can imagine what they can do with the house once they own it.

Doubt if anyone would wear a hoodie for a job interview lol, most people with something to hide dress smart and have all the right answers to start with, they are so convincing that's why they get away with it.
