Auditel
Cost and purchase management consultancy
| Auditel consultants provide outsourced cost and purchase management using a unique Total Cost of PurchaseŽ approach. Every business spends money on overheads such as communications, energy, water and business consumables, insurance and finance. Most equate the cost of purchasing these overheads with the amount that appears on their monthly invoice but this overlooks many hidden costs, which push the real cost much higher. Unlike traditional expense reduction analysts, we take a holistic approach to cost management consultancy that considers all the direct and indirect costs of purchase. We don't just make one-off savings and then move onto the next client but build valuable long-term client relationships. By outsourcing the management of overheads to Auditel, all these costs are eliminated and covered by the self-funding contingency fee. So, whether the economy is booming or in recession, Auditel consultants provide a very attractive, financially risk-free service, which saves clients both money and valuable time. Your income stream will be a 50% share of all savings realised for your clients. This is usually for three years from the date each saving is implemented but often continues for much longer. Our higher earners enjoy an income of £100K-£200K. |
| We look for seasoned management professionals from a wide range of disciplines and industries. Their skills should include: Excellent people skills. You need to be able to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, employees and the franchisor, of course. Coachable. You need to be willing to follow the given instructions and guidelines during training, always continue learning and embrace change. A good organiser. You will have to carry out many jobs by yourself which were carried out by colleagues in your job. So, you must be able to accomplish all these within a reasonable time-frame. Innovative. Although we have a proven business model, being innovative is certainly a useful trait. Caring. We look for people who will care for everyone in Auditel, share our knowledge and make a positive difference. |

Case Study
Ruth Dawe and Laurence Fitch – joined in November 2008Ex-Investment Banker and Wholesale Importer
Ruth and Laurence are among many couples who have become Auditel franchisees. “We were immediately impressed with the Auditel business model and how well it suited the current economic climate. We do not recall experiencing a ‘recruitment process.’ There was simply a two-way, open exploration of the business opportunity. Open, honest and caring. The values, principles and culture of the organisation were strongly evident. We felt confident the decision was ours and it was the right path for us. The end result is probably the best business decision of our lives.”
Gillian Gibbon – joined January 2003
Ex-Telecommunications Sales Manager
Gillian Gibbon is one of a number of women who have joined the Auditel franchise network. “Security, more flexible working conditions and freedom from office politics was the driving force when I left my high-paid job in telecoms seven years ago. The Auditel network and dedicated support team gave me invaluable help in the start-up phase, and they are still on hand even though I now have an established business.”
Gillian says the greatest advantage of being part of this franchise is the support she receives from other Auditel franchisees. “We work together on client projects bringing specialist skills to the mix.” Gillian for instance has experience in telecoms and financial services, and particular skills managing major client projects. However, she admits that she’s not so good at number crunching and building complex
financial models, so prefers to outsource to other franchisees. “Currently I have around fifty active clients. I can work by myself on small projects, but I share larger ones with other franchisees. This is a varied business that can be of benefit to most organisations. I have clients from manufacturing, charity, retail, import/export and so on.”
In the first ten months of last year, Gillian signed over £1 million of new expenditure under audit. Much of this is new business from existing clients who recognise how Gillian's services have contributed to their own success. Typically Auditel consultants develop stable relationships with their clients becoming integral members of their management teams for a number of years.
Gillian says: “I set out wanting to build a big income so I knew that it would be hard work. Now I’m really enjoying the business!”
