Curtains at Home
Direct seller of curtains and accessories
Curtains at Home franchisees provide interiors advice, measure, fit and sell bespoke curtains, Roman blinds and poles directly to customers in their homes.
The target market is homeowners requiring assistance with selecting the right curtains for their homes; assistance with fitting and hanging curtains and poles; or assistance in measuring for curtains.
Curtains at Home franchisees will visit customers homes, present the range of fabrics and types of curtains and Roman blinds that are available, measure the size of the curtains or Roman blinds and place the order with Curtains at Home.
Curtains at Home will manufacture the made-to-measure curtains, Roman blinds and poles and deliver to the franchisee within ten days. The franchisee will then return to their customers homes to fit the poles, and hang the curtains or blinds.
Franchisees have the opportunity to earn over double the margin that other franchisees of leading blind franchises may earn.
We are looking for hard working people with drive and determination, a flair for interiors, who can work flexibly and who enjoy working with people.
We assume that all franchisees begin their Curtains at Home franchise with no knowledge of interior design, measuring for curtains, fitting poles and hanging curtains.
The franchise fee is £2,495 plus VAT. This is one of the least expensive franchise opportunities available.
Training & Support
Our two day (depending upon numbers and availability of franchisees) training course includes tutorials and practical exercises to give each novice the skills necessary to operate a successful business.
In addition, our training manual and seven days a week support service provides franchisees with all of the support they need at no additional cost.
Lorraine Oliver started a Curtains at Home franchise in Kings Lynn earlier this year. She has previously worked in a curtain business and had enjoyed helping people decorate their homes and wanted to continue this, without the hassle of making curtains and selecting fabric samples to buy.
What really impressed me was the selection of fabrics. The entire range of over 500 fabrics had been selected especially for Curtains at Home and had been arranged into bespoke sample books by colour. It has made selling really easy and there is truly something for everyone. The first three customers I saw all placed an order which was fantastic and gave me great confidence in the products and in the potential of the business.
Once the fabrics were selected and I have taken the measurements, everything is taken care of and all I have to do is go back to the customers house and fit them which is easier than I initially thought it would be. Although I had experience of working with curtains before, the training I had was excellent and covered everything I needed to know.
