About Us

Since its launch 4 years ago, Disco Duck has been a huge success. Offering pre-school funky dance classes and parties to boys and girls aged 18 months to 4 years, the original Disco Duck music and syllabus are written specifically with the children in mind, and the sessions are extremely fun with lots of visual aids and props to keep them entertained.

About You

If you have an interest in dance and fitness and would like to work in a rewarding and fun market, then Disco Duck would suit you. What’s more, it is a fantastic flexible working opportunity – you dictate the hours you want to work.

You don’t need fitness or dance qualification, however having a background in dance or fitness can be extremely beneficial! If you are interested, you would attend a one day training course followed by ongoing training and support which will teach you all you need to know!

We are looking for teachers all over the country to add to our growing network. We have recently been listed in Practical Parenting as one of the Top 3 Pre-school dance classes, and want to keep adding to our network, so children all over the country can benefit from the Disco Duck Experience.
 

Financial Information

The cost for Year one is £450 + VAT which includes the first year Licence Fee and the Training course. Thereafter, the Licence fee is £60 + VAT per annum (flexible payment scheme is available) Our next training course will be held on 21st October 2012 (10am – 4pm) in Hertfordshire – there are still a few spaces left on this exciting course!

The Licence includes a complete dance package, containing the following:

1.   Syllabus, CD of music, instructors T-Shirt, a Disco Duck puppet, teachers listing page for customers looking for find classes in their area, and a starter pack of stickers.

2.  For an extra cost we offer:
-  a marketing support package including recommendations on how to acquire business and maximise revenue from running their classes;
a.  the option to purchase licensed disco duck products
b. The option to upgrade & purchase the “luxury” pack to include your first year’s equipment, plus the marketing support package.

Earning potential ranges from £3000 - £35000 depending on level of commitment. The licensee can run a number of classes and additional revenue opportunities come from merchandise and pre-school parties.
 

Training and Support

We offer a full one day training course for non-qualified dance professionals, designed and run by Amanda Hughes, an ISTD Fellow and Dance Examiner, and dance teacher of 20 years.

There is some home study required. During the course, you will learn about anatomy and physiology appropriate to the pre-school market and child development, as well as learning the syllabus and seeing how the classes work. This high quality course is designed so that you, as a Disco Duck teacher, would have knowledge of the pre-school age group.

As well as training, you will be given ongoing support from Head Office, social media support, central Head Office PR and marketing support.
