The ideal candidate will have 1+ years selling to corporates at FD/MD/CTO/IT Manager level preferably within a telco/voice/data service provider environment. You should be familiar with ADSL, EFM, Ethernet, MPLS and Managed Services. Advantageous skillset includes Voice (PSTN/ISDN/SIP/Hosted), Security and Cloud/VDC platforms. The candidate will apply their industry knowledge and align them with the clients technology and financial goals. Commercially aware with excellent pipeline management, fulfilling revenue and margin targets.

Job Summary

Carry out a range of duties in the achievement of revenue and margin based targets and meet all activity driven key performance indicators as set by the Sales Manager. This is mainly a desk based role with an uncapped OTE allowing the successful candidate to over achieve.

New Business Prospecting
* Regular prospecting of suspect opportunities
* Prepare quotations and proposals for potential customers
* Organise, prepare and attend sales appointments with potential customers
* Build and maintain a pipeline forecast with quote values over and above monthly target (as directed by the Sales Manager)

Account Management
* Up sell new solutions to existing customers
* Provide excellent Account Management to grow existing revenue
* Manage Accounts to ensure churn is kept to a minimum each year
* Attend regular appointments and develop senior level relationships

Lead Management
* To co-ordinate and manage active hit-lists, qualifying new leads
* Update current suspects, prospects and customers on company contact management system as an ongoing process
* Pursue new business enquiries/quotations
* Achieve monthly/annual revenue targets as set out by the Sales Manager

Marketing / Communication
* Attend events as appropriate and carry out Marketing initiatives
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and put these into action when liaising at all levels, with both internal and external customers
* Daily interaction with the following support functions: Pre- Sales Technical Support and Provisions
* Maintain personal time management data on company contact management system

Continuous Development
* Acquire necessary technical and product skills to demonstrate to prospective clients
* Attend training programmes as and when directed by the Sales Manager
* Implement training as appropriate throughout the sales cycle

Other responsibilities:

* Personal development - update relevant knowledge & skills in line with trends and developments in the field
* Support the management and development of Fusion by taking part in business planning and work in liaison with other teams
* Comply with departmental procedures and all internal control processes
* Undertake any other ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate by the appropriate Manager / Director

Project Manager

The Project Manager role is based within Commercial Banking Software Delivery

Ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and making decisions with regards to technical best practice and new strategy, with back-up from off shore technical teams and the on-shore engineering head, technical architects, and Global head of e-Channels.

We are seeking an experienced technical manager who can use their technical expertise and knowledge to manage strategic initiatives and enhancements to HSBC’s direct e-Channels platforms, including HSBC Connect. These platforms are used by some of HSBC’s highest profile customers who want the bank to process large volumes of payment and other financial data. Must be able to communicate with on-site senior business leads and technicians, and manage off-shore technical teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Strong risk awareness – identification, mitigation and control

* Needs to apply knowledge and expertise to develop systems with the objective of optimising operational performance and improving quality whilst increasing cost-effectiveness

* To ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation.

* Customer and seniors stakeholder management

* Provide direction of design, development, implementation & maintenance of HSBC IT systems to both off-shore IT & global business units.

* Supervise production of detailed specifications and professional documentation that describe input, output, and logical operation

* Contribute to the development of less experienced staff by sharing technical expertise and application system knowledge and provide coaching where required.

* Review testing strategies to ensure all functionality is covered.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

* Experience working with complex systems

* Experience working within a complex team and multi stakeholder organisation

* Past Technical Project Management experience

* Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of • XML or XML based languages, knowledge of SAP technology (most notably SAP ERP), data transport security (e.g. SSL, SFTP/SSH) and data encryption (e.g. S/MIME and PGP). is desirable but not essential

* Knowledge of system integration products, technologies or architecture, e.g. IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (ISBI), databases such as IBM DB2 or Oracle. is desirable but not essential

* Systems architecture is desirable but not essential

* Technical background is desirable but not essential

* Matrix layered experience is desirable but not essential

* Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Java programming and server based technology (e.g. UnixLinuxAIXIBM WebSphere etc). is desirable but not essential

* Self awareness with confidence to work independently and take responsibility for own development

* Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered

In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have previous indirect or direct team management experience, ideally offshore and some experience of managing budgets.
