The company

Optrak Distribution Software Ltd., based in Hertford, writes, sells and supports its own Vehicle Routing Software (VRS) Optrak4. This is a high level, highly customised software package which enables our customers to efficiently and effectively plan the loading and routing of their delivery fleet in a timely manner whilst also providing full management information.

The Job

Potential customers (prospects) submit data to us, the Customer Support Analyst (CSA) gets to know the prospect, their operation and their data and runs the data through Optrak4, producing optimal results showing the benefits of the software.  Should the prospect become a customer, then the CSA acts as the main liaison between the customer and company during the implementation of the software, providing training and support to the customer. Once the customer is an established user of the software further support from the CSA may also be required.

Your skills

Good problem solver

Sound Mathematical skills (grade A/B at A level preferred)

A good degree or previous relevant experience required.

Some proficiency programming: Any language, but SQL or Javascript particularly relevant.

Confident computer user -  good knowledge of Excel

Confident people person, able to relate to all levels of staff

Good telephone manner- able to explain things clearly.

The rewards

Starting salary: up to £25,000 with a review after 6 months.

Location

The job is office-based in Hertford (Herts), with some UK travel involved – for example for meetings or to train customers on site for 2 or 3 days.
