As a Senior Credit Risk Manager at Barclays, you'll lead a highly skilled and experienced analytical team that's responsible for the Credit Risk Originations policy & strategy for a portfolio of UK businesses with annual turnover up to £5m. You'll Take responsibility for Credit Risk Originations policy & strategy - covering both auto-decisioning and manual underwriting - and for creation and maintenance of all relevant policy & strategy documentation. Best of all, you'll have the opportunity to participate in projects that will enhance the decision-making infrastructure of our UK Retail and Business Banking, which means plenty of exposure to senior management.
What you'll give our customers as a Senior Credit Risk Manager
You'll lead the delivery of product risk appetite in support of the strategic ambitions of the Barclays Business portfolio. You'll also be responsible for a team of analysts, mentoring them on analysis techniques and implementing policy and process improvements. In addition, you'll manage stakeholders and ensure they understand the reasoning behind your advice and decisions.

What you'll need as a Senior Credit Risk Manager
The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need a strong commercial focus and a solid knowledge of Risk Management models and measures. You'll have in-depth knowledge of Credit Risk Management for retail and / or SME portfolios. You'll be proficient in performing data analysis utilising a standard statistical package such as SAS (preferred) or SPSS and will have a clear understanding of the methods underlying predictive modelling.
