Overall Job Purpose
To establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with the assigned business area which will enable L&MD to contribute to improved business performance through the achievement of strategic and operational goals.
  • Support the preparation, co-ordination and implementation of detailed customer business plans and contact strategies for the assigned business area
  • Based on a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business issues, strategies and objectives, partner with BPs to challenge, identify and continuously prioritise L&MD needs which will improve performance 
  • Propose and evaluate alternative potential solutions with client teams in a highly consultative manner, including pricing
  • Partner with internal L&MD and external consultants to scope, design and contract for learning solutions which will deliver positive business results, utilising a consultative approach
  • Liaise with the Curriculum Manager to ensure that the right resources across L&MD are secured to deliver the solutions
  • Ensure that the client’s interests are continually and strongly represented within L&MD
  • Continually promote the results and broader capabilities of L&MD
  • Manage critical strategic projects as expert to the business project team e.g. PFP, Zibi
  • Maximise the return on investment, making the case for learning
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Colleague Technology team and the Talent agenda
  • Continuously develop professional and technical expertise. Establish and maintain an awareness of the developments within the training industry in this sector
  • Proactively share ideas and coach and mentor across the L&MD team
  • Demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise

Qualifications (desirable): 
  • NVQ Level 4 or Full IPD (or progress towards)
Skills / Knowledge:
  • Advanced consultancy skills
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in all aspects of the learning cycle
  • Ability to create clear and concise training requirement briefs for internal customers and external training partners
  • Ability to influence and demonstrate credibility with Senior Management Teams
  • Strong business acumen, strong relational skills and strategic aptitude
  • Results and value focus, strong business sense / awareness and understands how projects and OT interventions can impact upon productivity and profitability levels.
  • In-depth understanding of current and future customer requirements
  • Effective influencing skills at all levels
  • Strong communication skills, both written, and verbal
  • Demonstrated relationship (senior stakeholder) management skills
  • Excellent Presentation skills
  • Experience in working on complex Training and Learning projects
  • Planning, organising and prioritisation skills
  • Knowledge of Prudential systems and processes

  • Experience of sales and technology would be an advantage
  • Innovative approach to working and learning solutions
  • Previous Insurance industry experience, particularly in the Retail environment essential
