Overall Job Purpose
 
To provide all areas of the business with the L&MD solutions that support corporate business plans and objectives. Develop complete and accurate training needs analysis, prepare training proposals, design, facilitate, validate and evaluate all training material. These will include complex, high priority, business critical interventions that meet challenging and demanding deadlines from the business.
 
Work proactively with the different business areas in identifying learning and development solutions that support the development of their people at the direction of the BP team and L&MD Relationship Managers
 
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
 
  • As part of a consultancy pool, deliver the Prudential Business Skills, Management and Corporate Induction core curriculum and contribute to developing and maintaining a fit for purpose proposition
  • At the direction of the L&MD Relationship Manager, design and develop appropriate learning and evaluation materials
  • In circumstances not covered by the L&MD Relationship Manager, provide training needs analysis capability and business consultation where required
  • Determine the most appropriate method of learning and provide advice on how to access learning material and resources
  • Deliver quality, compliant and fit for purpose training solutions to all customers
  • Follow L&MD  processes and standards regarding keeping and maintaining accurate records of learning interventions
  • Help develop and maintain a self-learning culture throughout the organisation which is predominantly based upon flexible and appropriate learning and self-study
  • Develop and maintain industry, corporate and commercial knowledge
  • Provide intelligence on emerging themes from event delivery to provide commercial evaluation back to the business and the wider L&MD team
  • Develop, coach and mentor Associate Trainers
  • Work with Colleague Engagement Technology team and SMEs to develop on line learning material when required.
  • Demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise

Capability / Knowledge / Skills required:
 
Qualifications: 
  • NVQ Level 4 in learning & development , CTP or full CIPD membership ( or working towards)
  • Full FPC or CFP ( or working towards)
  • Experience:
  • Excellent Consultancy skills and experience
  • Experience in working on Training and Learning  projects
  • Experience of sales, operations or a coaching environment would be an advantage
 
Skills / Knowledge:
 
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in all aspects of the learning cycle
  • Ability to create clear and concise training needs analysis and training proposals  for internal customers and external Learning  Partners
  • Strong communication skills, both written, and verbal
  • Proven customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent Presentation & facilitation  skills
  • Understanding of all learning delivery methodologies (e.g. Classroom, virtual classroom, seminar, workshop, e-learning etc.)
  • Planning, organising and prioritisation skills
  • Evidence of using a ‘blended’ approach to training incorporating technology
  • Excellent consultancy skills and experience including strong decision making, problem solving skills and effective influencing skills at all levels
  • Knowledge of Prudential systems and processes
  • Product knowledge both generic and company specific
  • Understanding of company and departmental operations
  • Full understanding of  L&MD resources and availability of learning materials
  • IT skills
  • Industry and commercial knowledge
  • Regulatory knowledge particularly of T & C schemes
  • Ability to thrive in changing, fluid, difficult environments, maintaining a can do approach
  • Possess and demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to working hours
  • High level of self- motivation and achievement / goal driven
  • Must have Financial Services experience
