We are looking for flexible and committed Vocal and Instrumental Teachers to work at various schools across Surrey.

£23.81- 32.72 per hour. The number of hours to be worked per week are yet to be agreed because of timetabling but will be discussed at interview if you are shortlisted. Working up to 36 weeks per year.

An enhanced DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks will be required for this role.

About the Role

Surrey Arts, part of Surrey County Council and lead partner of the Surrey Music Hub, is a county-wide arts delivery and development service, providing weekly music teaching to pupils both in and out of schools. 

Surrey Arts co-ordinates the work of a large team of teaching staff who are responsible for delivering teaching and learning opportunities six days a week in term time, along with additional activities and concerts in the evenings and at weekends.

We are seeking to appoint a number of motivated and committed vocal teachers and choir leaders to join our thriving team of music tutors.  You will work in schools across the county and, as appropriate, lead area and county singing ensembles.  You may also be involved in Surrey Arts projects such as Singing Picnics and help to develop new and exciting ways to promote music lessons in Surrey.

You will be flexible and willing to commit to working for up to 36 weeks of the year. Some of the hours worked will be  during and after school hours and potentially weekends too. 

A full driving licence with access to a car  is vital as you will working at schools across the county as required.
