Senior Data Strategist

As a senior member of our rapidly growing Data & Analytics team, the Data Strategist will work directly with clients, peers and analysts to design and deliver cutting-edge data strategies.

This is primarily a consultative role. You should have an expert knowledge of the principles and techniques of data science, web analytics and customer analysis, and you will use this understanding to design and plan advanced data strategies for iCrossing clients.

What you’ll be doing day to day

  • Defining measurement plans in collaboration with clients and iCrossing stakeholders.
  • Advising clients and colleagues on advanced audience / customer segmentation and targeting strategies.
  • Assisting clients in selecting platforms and vendors.
  • Mentoring analysts in the Data & Analytics team.
  • Develop iCrossing’s approach to data strategy by leading product development initiatives.

You will also be required to assist in all aspects of business development, including identifying opportunities for growth, designing appropriate solutions, and presenting in pitches.

Your skills and abilities

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a combination of leadership, strategic and problem-solving strengths. You will be flexible in your approach and always searching for new solutions and new techniques. You will have:

  • A strong knowledge of marketing technology, with an emphasis on the Google Marketing Platform / Google Analytics 360.
  • A track record of delivering high-quality data strategies, in either agency or client-side positions.
  • A high-level understanding of data governance, privacy and security issues.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to manage and influence senior business stakeholders.
  • Some HTML and JavaScript knowledge would be beneficial as you may need to assist with web analytics / tag management deployments.

Our Data Strategists work closely with the other members of the Data & Analytics team, and report to the Head of Data & Analytics. They also regularly collaborate with our Account Management, Media and Marketing / Business Development teams.
