Job Details

You will have the opportunity to influence technology and operating models from the ground up as we reshape our services and opportunities to improve business outcomes across all areas of the group through consultation, analysis and application of innovative solutions to real business requirements.

Your deep technical knowledge and broad experience will help you tailor network solutions, applying cross platform knowledge and solution design principles in collaboration with a team of similarly skilled and likeminded individuals. As part of solution delivery you will work with the engineering teams to develop low level designs and be consulted throughout the implementation process.

Your flexible, consultative and collaborative approach to solutions will make you a trusted advisor in your field of expertise across all stakeholders. Your business-facing communication skills will help gather requirements and communicate solutions to technical and non-technical audiences. Your creativity will make you an active and influential participant in workshops and brainstorming sessions.

In this role you be responsible for:

  • consulting with business and technology to gather requirements then developing data networks solutions
  • assisting in the development of network technology strategic roadmaps
  • creating high level design patterns and working with the engineering teams on high and low-level designs and solutions
  • assisting in engineering tasks if required.

Key skills required for this role will include your prior experience in Enterprise Network and Network Security Engineering including:

  • Enterprise network engineering experience (Cisco switching/routing, Aruba switching/wireless desirable).

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
