About the role
Sense are currently looking for a passionate and creative Education Co-ordinator to join our team at our Sense Centre in Dereham. This is a part time position working 21 hours per week, on a fixed term contract for 12 months.
As the Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for the education programmes for single or dual sensory impaired adults with additional learning difficulties, disabilities and/or complex needs. The successful candidate's duties will include the development of learning objectives, curriculum development, teaching delivery, assessment of progress, and report writing. In addition, you will take line management responsibility for a group of Education Support Workers.
Taking a person centred approach, your programme will support people to be as involved as possible in every part of their day to day lives so that they can be full and active members of society, reducing isolation and promoting community involvement through a range of activities.
A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
About you
Our ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or education qualification. You will have proven experience of working in a teaching environment. You will be an effective communicator and it would be fantastic if you have experience of supporting people with sensory impairments, learning disabilities and/or complex needs.
About us
For everyone living with complex disabilities. For everyone who is deafblind. Sense is here to help people communicate and experience the world.
We believe that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.

Working at Sense can be incredibly rewarding; we offer the opportunity to work in a large, diverse and successful charity where people can develop their skills, knowledge and careers in a supportive and flexible environment. In addition we have excellent training and development, the opportunity for you to join our Group Personal Pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement.
