We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Project Worker to join our tea in Exeter Foyer, helping to empower young people to realise their full potential. If you could share our enthusiasm and commitment to this service, we’d love you to join us.

The role:

  • Assist in the interview and induction process for new applicants.
  • Identify resident’s support needs, develop action plans, support residents to gain life skills, and manage risk.
  • Work positively with young people by maximising income and ensuring rent payments, as well as manging repairs and anti-social behaviour.
  • Identify and report on safeguarding and health and safety issues appropriately.
  • Monitor rent accounts and ensure that arrears owed by Housing Benefit or by the residents are dealt with speedily as per Foyer procedure.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with young people or an area of specialism such as domestic abuse, offending, substance misuse, mental health..
  • Experience working with specialist services such as mental health teams and youth offending services.
  • Working knowledge of housing and benefits advice.
  • A natural relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to motivate, inspire and influence clients.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and manage multiple priorities.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
