About the role
Sense is currently recruiting for a Cook / Chef to join our catering team at the cafe in our day centre TouchBase South East. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm
As our Cook / Chef at TouchBase South East you will prepare, produce and serve food in our onsite café. You will ensure that all food preparation is handled in accordance with food hygiene standards and in line with special dietary requirements. You will adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure the kitchen and dining surfaces are kept clean and tidy and kitchen equipment is maintained.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills to be able to work effectively as a team member. You must be willing to participate in any training relevant to the post, and have a positive attitude towards the people we support.

TouchBase South East is a purpose built centre which is the base for a huge variety of Social activities and education based sessions, it is located within the heart of the local community and is a short walk from our allotment plot and the local high street. We support adults over eighteen who have a range of complex needs, including sensory loss and learning disabilities.
