Assistant Support Worker’s
The Minims, Hatfield, Herts
Hours: Full/Part time hour’s available
Salary: 9.05 per hour
(£7.83 base salary per hour and £1.22 location rate per hour)
SJOG is a national charity with 600 staff working in 33 local communities around the country, providing care and support for people with learning and physical disabilities, people with mental health issues, homeless people and older people. We’re part of an international organisation that touches the lives of a million people every day.
The role of an Assistant Support Worker is to enable people using the service to lead a fulfilling and independent life according to their individual needs and choices. This will include supporting people using the service with preparing meals, shopping, paying bills, bathing and personal care, medication administration, activities, employment, education, and holidays.
Essential criteria:
* An understanding of co-production and person centred approaches
* Experience of working in a caring environment
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Effective communication skills
* Experience of working with personalised care plans
* Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability
* Level two diploma in care or prepared to attain
