An excellent opportunity to gain exposure, in a challenging role, within our EMEA Central Compliance team, as Compliance Training Coordinator.

Reporting to the regional Compliance Training lead, and working with the Global Head of Regulatory Training, you will join the Central Compliance team with the specific remit of coordinating compliance training and communications.

Key aspects of your role will require you to work closely with the EMEA Compliance Training lead to implement and manage a consistent compliance training framework and implementation of the EMEA Regulatory Training plan.

You will be involved in assisting compliance professionals to complete training needs analysis, aligned to the compliance risk assessment, and coordinating the production, maintenance and execution of a regional compliance training plan. You will assist in writing and editing the compliance education and communications materials, including online courses, and manage the production of online compliance training.

You will be responsible for managing effective compliance training record keeping, including full utilisation of the global learning management system.  You will also work with compliance colleagues to ensure regulatory training requirements are met.

You are a highly organised individual with 2+ years’ experience in an investment banking, compliance or regulatory environment and /or with 2+ years experience in learning and development, and you’re looking forward to the next exciting move in your career.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels will be essential to your success.  You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, be able to deliver results within deadlines, and have strong attention to detail.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
