The role of Marketing & Business Development Director is a newly created opportunity to drive the growth of the business by developing and executing the marketing strategy. Candidates will have experience at a strategic level (ability to create a marketing plan) and a willingness to drive through the implementation.

Responsibilities: -

·         Responsibility for the strategy and implementation of the firms marketing, communications and public relations activities

·         Develop and monitor a sales plan and networking strategy with key stakeholders to drive growth

·         Brand development & awareness

·         Redesign & create copy for the company website and update as required

·         Develop marketing materials, website, social media presence 

·         Identify and create written submissions for industry awards

·         Identify press contacts for interview/ written commentary opportunities

·         Create and send brand and market building emails to clients and potential clients

·         Developing a subjective customer and stakeholder feedback mechanism

·         Market research and analysis of competitors and market segments

Requirements: -

·         A positive, resourceful, proactive, problem solver able to work alone while also maintaining regular communications

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills

·         Experience developing and implementing a marketing plan

·         Detail orientated with ability to work without a support team (VA assistance available but role will essentially be a one person ‘department’)

·         Knowledge of relevant industries (construction, design, property or even investment) helpful but not essential

Benefits: -

·         A negotiable 15 hours per week @ £400 per week. FTE approx. £55k + bonus payments

·         Scope for bonus payments to increase income by 50% for achieving KPI's and sales growth targets.

·         Work from home with monthly face to face progress meetings in West End of London

·         Flexibility to choose hours worked (while maintaining comms in GMT)

·         Option of employment or contracting

A successful main contractor delivering high end residential refurbishments and small-scale design led new build developments. Primarily working with architects and development companies in London. A turnover of £4m has been achieved entirely through organic growth with a small dedicated management team. The business is now seeking to spread it’s wings and requires the support of a marketing and communications professional to achieve its goals: -

·         Double t/o within 4 years

·         Pivot business towards eco new builds

·         Develop a partnership model with investors

·         Gain a foot hold in the public procurement chain

·         Maintain a focus on quality of work; customer relations; innovation and reputation
