Job Details

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Global Financial Planning and Analysis leadership team within Macquarie's Financial Management Group, working across the Macquarie Asset Management business (MAM) which comprises Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) and Macquarie Investment Management (MIM). MAM is a full-service asset manager, providing clients with access to a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure, real assets, equities, fixed income, liquid alternatives and multi-asset investment management solutions.

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function is one of the global functions of Financial Management Group and operates as a partner to the business. Working closely with the senior leadership team and the Global Head of Macquarie FP&A, you will lead a team of professionals to provide analysis and insight on the Macquarie Asset Management business, taking accountability for internal and external reporting, forecasting, business performance analysis and decision support. As a member of the Global Financial Planning & Analysis leadership team, which is responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis strategy, you will lead change across the global function, providing ad hoc decision support activities, including driving strategic initiatives of the Macquarie Asset Management Group Head, CFO and the Global Head of Macquarie Financial Planning & Analysis.

You will be responsible for the development and coaching of staff across cross-border locations, and will therefore possess the ability to work with stakeholders across the globe including Europe, USA, India and Asia-Pacific.  You are a confident, values driven leader with a background in commercial finance roles. Your inquisitive nature and ability to communicate with and influence a broad range of stakeholders will be the key to your success in this role. You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with at least 10-12 years’ relevant leadership experience in decision support, analytics or financial planning and analysis roles, preferably in the finance and banking sector.

You will be a proven leader with the ability to drive change and grow individual and team capability with a strong ability to juggle multiple priorities, delegate appropriately and to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders. In addition, you will have the ability to influence outcomes without reporting lines, show attention to detail with strong analytical capacity and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  An understanding of asset management businesses is desirable but not essential.

If you feel you are ready for the next challenging role in your career, please apply now.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
