Our client is a growing technology firm providing specialist services to the banking and financial services industries. 
They are looking for a part time Finance Manager to take ownership of their financial function. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious start-up, to build a best in class financial structure and directly impact business strategy. Responsibilities

• Support the CEO on corporate matters, including financial modelling for fundraising purposes, and the preparation & management of investor reporting materials, preparing for Series A
• Be central to monetising their data, including designing new scalable processes, including an operations and payments infrastructure to help to efficiently grow the customer base
• Proactively planning for growth, doing cashflow analysis, supporting the CEO on seeking and applying for funding or investment opportunities
• Managing & instructing employee payroll and expenses
• Managing invoicing, collections and reconciliation of payments from customers
• Preparing and filing annual accounts and tax returns, including liaising with UK accountant and US tax consultant
• Prepare monthly management accounts, providing insights and recommendations to inform our strategy
• Managing the UK company NEST pension scheme
• Managing the company’s share option scheme
• Establishing a UK company benefits scheme
• Managing UK and US bank accounts
• Liaising with the office manager / part-time finance resource in the company’s San Francisco office
• Maintaining appropriate insurance coverage

Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential

• Independent and organised self-starter not afraid of meeting challenges head on
• Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail
• Commercially minded in order to support data monetistion and pricing strategy
• Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
• SaaS/data startup/scale up experience

Desirable

• Tech-savvy and comfortable with modern software applications (they are a software company!)
• Experience working for/with a tech company and/or a fast-growing start up
• An international mindset; experience working in multiple currencies and for a company with US customers or operations
• Awareness of US accounting practices
• Experience using Xero or Bill.com

Flexibility: 3 days a week
Salary: £55K FTE
