Our Return-to-Work Programme offers placements in Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT), to individuals who have been away from work for an extended period. The programme provides the opportunity to experience the breadth and depth of careers in the Civil Service DDaT. 

These will be paid work placements at an appropriate level for the type of work and skills required. 

The Return-to-Work placements will enable you to be involved in delivering key government objectives, while providing the chance to refresh and test your skills and experience, or build up and gain insight into new areas of interest. 

The aim is that the Programme will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for permanent or temporary roles within DDaT. 

The Return-to-Work Programme is open to all individuals who have taken a break from their career or profession for at least 2 years. During this time, you may have worked on a small-scale or self-employed basis to fit around your other commitments, or have not done any paid work for a number of years.
