An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the GI Claims Senior Leadership Team within Insurance & Wealth Division. In this role you'll be responsible for supporting the GI Claims Head of Function and ensuring the effective day to day management of the GI Claims operation and alignment within the wider I&W division.

 

You'll be working at a senior level to support the delivery of our ambition to be the Number One Home Insurer in the United Kingdom, with significant change programmes underway and in plan for the business as part of the Group Strategic Review 3. As the Senior Technical Risk Manager to the GI Claims Head of Function, you'll have oversight of all aspects of running the business, be involved in senior level meetings, support decision-making and will be directly involved in a wide variety of work. As such, there are significant chances to define your network and develop your profile across the business.

 

What do we need from you...

 

You'll have excellent stakeholder management skills and will work with colleagues across multiple divisions, at all levels as well as at industry level.

In addition, you'll be highly organised and dedicated, have an eye for detail and be able to deliver results through others.

Strong business acumen is important, as is both written and verbal communication skills.

 

What you'll be doing...

 

Contributing to the overall business fraud and recovery savings operational targets. Support management of all large loss claims.

Leading and supporting strategic decision making, taking into consideration both local and market influences and including horizon challenges whilst understanding any impact on business objectives.

You'll have the accountability of the reporting, investigation (when approved) and/or oversight of any incidents which require escalation to the Colleague Conduct Management Team.

You'll be the point of contact for the management or oversight of any specialist suppliers or partnerships including intelligence databases, field investigators, law enforcement agencies, solicitors, and agencies representing the market or government interests.

Alongside the wider Senior Leadership Team, you will anticipate, identify and mitigate risk in a timely manner, taking responsibility for implementing plans to respond to relevant risk issues.

Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with established, rules, procedures and Policies so that they align with the Group's legal, regulatory and reporting requirements.

Ensure papers for Working Groups, Steering Groups and Committees are prepared on time and to a high quality.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships to optimise business results, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across Insurance & Wealth division, the Group and wider market.

Build and maintain networks in order to influence the business agenda, identify best practice and build the profile of the business/functional area. Apply analytical skills to review and generate Management Information identifying trends and root causes.

Lead and develop capability across GI Claims teams to ensure achievement of the business strategy, vision and values.

Alongside the wider Senior Leadership Team, drive a culture that takes every opportunity to deepen customer relationships and provide consistently good outcomes.
