Patient Food Services Assistant - Full and Part time roles available
To ensure that the Patient Distribution Team deliver the highest possible standards at all times. Plus to
ensure that all items are of the highest quality at all times, and delivered to the correct location and at the
right time.
Accurate control of stock and product, temperature & wastage recording.
To support & work closely with the catering supervisors ensuring all patients receive their ordered meals.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
Health and Safety
· To ensure that all food is stored, picked and packed and regenerated within the Food
Hygiene Regulations and accurate records are maintained in an auditable manner.
· To maintain all patient service food areas in order, to achieve the required hygiene and
health and safety standards in terms of cleanliness and temperature controls.
· To continually maintain the cleanliness of any food transportation equipment to include
stock cages, regeneration ovens and beverage trolleys.
· To ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered
to, referring conflicts to the Client where necessary.
Quality of Service Delivery
· To deliver on time and in the right location all food orders for patients to ensure where
practicably possible that their choice of option is always delivered.
· To ensure that all patient orders are picked up and delivered to the regeneration ovens
in the Wards at the times specified by the Trust/Ward Sister.
· To follow company systems of hygiene within your area.
· To inform supervisor and manager about stock levels and any issues.
To liaise with kitchen regarding special dietary meals ordered and deliver them to ward
level.
You will need:
· Experience working in hospitals or similar environment desirable but not necessary.
· Proven background in delivering catering services Personal Characteristics/Attributes
· Excellent personal skills.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines to deliver satisfactory service
