About the role
Sense has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to take the role of Project Supervisor on our new ‘Supporting People’ project across the Powys area. This role will be based in North Powys, mainly covering the Montgomeryshire area where Sense provide community support to people living with sensory loss, enabling them to live the life they want, reduce social isolation and ensure the risk of homelessness is minimised. This is a part time role, working 18.5 hours per week on a fixed term basis until April 2024
The Project Supervisor will support the Project Lead and Communication Facilitators across the region, ensuring the service best meets the needs of the individuals we support. You will be responsible for meeting new people via the referral process, supervising allocated staff, liaising with teams within Powys, growing links within localities and completing reports in line with Supporting People and Welsh Government requirements.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in housing and community support for individuals with a range of disabilities including sensory impairment. You will have experience managing a team and building working relationships. Due to the needs of the people we support, we're looking for candidates with British Sign Language skills at Level 3 or equivalent.
As the role is community based, the individual will need to travel across the Powys area and transport individuals when needed.
