We are looking for a part time flexible and enthusiastic administrator to join our new busy team at the Referral Hub in the Peace Children's Centre, Watford. The hub is open 8 am to 6 pm, 5 days per week. No weekend working required.
 
The successful applicant will be required to work a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts until 6pm (8am - 2pm or 12 - 6pm). Please confirm that you are able to work afternoon shifts until 6pm in your application. Exact days/shifts will be discussed at the interview stage.

The Referral Hub provides essential quality administrative and referral management support to the services delivered in the Children and Young People's Specialist Services across the county. The post holder will work as part of a team of administrators to receive and enter daily all referral data onto our Patient Administration System; SystmOne. Full training will be given.

The team are responsible for directing each referral to the appropriate clinical team. The team are responsible for making initial appointments following clinical triage. The work will involve talking to health professionals, patients or families on the telephone with tact and sensitivity.

You will need to be hardworking with an eye for detail and enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment with a positive team approach. You will also need excellent telephone, communication and IT skills.

In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,000 and a maximum payment of £1,733 per annum (pro rata where applicable).

A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
