Executive Assistant to the Director (maternity cover) Up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience Required for 12 months, or less if the person returns from maternity leave early

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art has a worldwide reputation for training actors, stage managers and technical specialists for careers at the highest level in theatre, television, film and radio. RADA, as a founding affiliate of the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama, is a designated Higher Education Institution. The majority of our training is practical and production based.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the office of the Director of RADA. This includes internal and external industry liaison, administrative support, co-ordinating projects and release of communications and managing the finances of the office. You will also be working closely with senior staff within RADA, Council members (trustees), senior supporters and stakeholders (including staff from King’s College London, and the Office for Students) as well as high-profile alumni and members of the film and theatre professions.

This role requires someone who has excellent attention to detail, ensures accuracy and is able to multi task. A theatre and/or arts administration background (including in a voluntary capacity) is essential as well as proven organisational and management skills. Experience of working in a casting or theatrical agency is also highly desirable.

We especially welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds as these groups are under-represented at all levels in the RADA staff.

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is dedicated to Equal Opportunities in employment and seeks to achieve diversity amongst its staff to reflect the community it serves.
