Role Overview

An opportunity exists within Amey for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Rail Business, working in a high performing team on a collaborative Target Cost Contract with Network Rail. The Programme of works consists of multiple E&P Projects, including OLE, HV and LV, as well as supporting elements from other disciplines (civils, telecoms, systems), throughout the LNW South region. We're looking for an experienced individual to join the team of commercial staff to provide commercial management and reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Manager.

As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for ensuring successful commercial outcomes on multiple concurrent projects, developing the commercial strategy, implementing best commercial practice in all aspects of Value and Cost Management, influencing the procurement strategy and overseeing the production of robust Sub-Contracts, risk management and providing valuation of change expertise. You will also be supporting the reporting requirements to both internal and external stakeholders as well as production of KPI's.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this position you will need to be of a Quantity Surveying background, have experience in delivering E&P and/or Multi-Disciplinary Rail contracts for Major Contractors and managing a commercial team. You must have Target Cost experience in a collaborative environment, have experience Managing Sub-Contractors and Internal Delivery elements. You will need to have a relevant degree, preferably be chartered, have good communication and negotiation skills, with proven experience in change management and valuation of change.
