Events Officer - Spider are supporting a leading charity for children and families in the East of England. They are looking for an Events Officer to join their team based in Ipswich, on a part-time permanent basis. Our Client is a charity which supports children, young people and families to manage the challenges they face and improve their life chances.

As Events Officer, you'll be a member of the income generation team who are responsible for generating income through successful planning and delivery of small to large scale events as well as UK & overseas challenges. Events Officer main tasks will include:

- To project manage agreed events ensuring that event partnerships and relationships are being developed, income targets and budgets are being met.
- To prepare detailed event management plans, risk assessments and other applicable health and safety documentation.
- To brief internal teams on the project, lead on progress meetings and manage the running of the event on the day including briefing and managing volunteers, staff and suppliers on site.
- To research, secure and manage suppliers, venues and local councils to ensure all elements of the event are approved and licensed correctly.
- To work with the Major Donor & Corporate Fundraising manager to research and secure new events and activities that inspire individuals, groups and businesses to participate and fundraise.
- Communicate with event participants, keeping them motivated to ensure that the minimum sponsorship required is met or exceeded wherever possible.
- To provide an exceptional level of supporter experience to ensure that relationships with donors are maintained and developed.
- To co-ordinate and work collaboratively with the communications team regarding the publicity of event/challenge based fundraising activities, project and events.
- To optimise use of the fundraising database and assist in the production of proposals, reports, plans and evaluations.
- To manage and coordinate volunteers required for each event and work collaboratively with the volunteer manager to recruit and retain event volunteers.

This is a part-time permanent role working 28 hours per week. There will a requirement to work flexibly and attend fundraising events and activities outside of normal working hours including weekends, evenings and bank holidays. In return, they are offering a competitive salary up to £22,885 pro rata (depending on experience).
