Finance Manager – Liverpool - £27,000-£35,000 (pro rata)

Recruit Mate are proud to be working with Collabco Ltd in their search for a new part time Finance Manager.

Collabco are the provider of ‘myday’, a student dashboard used by many leading educational establishments in the UK to drive student engagement, participation and retention.

They have a dedicated team with a passion for education software development and systems innovation. Based in the thriving city of Liverpool (UK) in the heart of Liverpool's innovative Knowledge Quarter they are well positioned to support a growing and forward-thinking international customer base passionate about improving and simplifying student technologies.

Collabco was founded in 2009 and entered Academia and Education in 2010.

Due to their continued success, they are now looking to appoint a part time Finance Manager 2/3 days per week. The company is flexible in terms of working hours and days.

The role:

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as financial and management accounting, running the accounts ledgers and other transactions. Oversee finance department employees, including financial assistant. Preparation and review of management accounts and statutory accounts.
• Provide management information - including interpretation – to users of all levels up to and including the Board of Directors and external organisations.
• Manage and develop finance processes and systems to ensure that robust controls are in place in line with the requirements of the business
• P&L and balance sheet reconciliation, analysis and interpretation.
• Managing cash and cash reporting / forecasting.
• Managing sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank accounting either directly or via the team.
• Manage employees in the account team, planning tasks and ensuring timescales are met.
• Complete financial submissions for venture capital investors and other legal obligations.
• Manage payroll information via external payroll bureau.
• Reconcile sales commission statements.
• Assist with the Year End audit process providing answers to any queries in a timely manner.
• Manage recurring / subscription revenue reporting.
• Other assistance to the Finance Director and management team as and when required on other aspects in the department or wider business.


The person:

• ACCA / CIMA part or fully qualified or equivalent or a qualified by experience
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively across a diverse internal team and customer / supplier base.
• Experience of financial analysis, planning and implementation.
• Experience in preparing and presenting management accounts.
• IT literate with strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative with a “can do” and helpful / positive attitude.
• Capability to provide accurate and timely information and data.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of numeracy.
• Ability to work in a changing and flexible organisation.
