If so, this is your opportunity to help save lives with the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).
As Senior Coastal Operations Officer, you have the responsibility of the operational management, readiness and safety of volunteer Coastguard Rescue Officers (CRO) within Coastguard Rescue Teams. • leading and delivering training, identifying training and development needs for individual and teams
• providing an on scene response to incidents, providing leadership and direction of assets if required
• assessing the capability of CRO teams responding to incidents, noting good practice and delivering lessons learned and training as appropriate
• effectively handling assets and resources, including formal inspections of equipment.
• ensuring equipment meets quality standards, legislation and health and safety requirements
• representing the Agency and HM Coastguard at meetings with local authorities and other emergency services.
If you would like more information, please find the role profile attached.
We operate a 24/7 on-call roster and you will be required to participate in this, acting in a leadership, direction and standards role for the Coastguard Rescue Service. By exception, this will include deployment anywhere in the UK.
