The British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is looking for a HR Administrator to join the Learning & Development Team within HR. In this role, you will be working alongside the Learning & Development team to implement the growing Training Programmes for Antarctic, Marine and Cambridge employees. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent interpersonal skills be able to communicate effectively. You will be required to build good working relationships with a wide range of staff, be organised and be flexible to adapt to change.
Purpose
To support Learning & Development team to implement the Training Programmes for Antarctic, Marine and Cambridge employees. To support designated HR project work as requested by the Advisory Team.
Qualification
GSCEs in Math and English or equivalent
Duties
- Be responsible for booking training courses, and travel and accommodation as required.
- Be responsible for processing expense claims for Antarctic & Marine employees in a timely manner.
- Be the first point of contact for Antarctic & Marine employee related expense queries.
- Assist the HR Officer and Advisor with the coordination of L&D activities, as and when required.
- To support HR project work by undertaking designated tasks as appropriately delegated by the Advisory Team.
- Deal effectively with all contacts from a wide range of people, using tact and discretion, assessing needs and re-directing the enquiry where appropriate.
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the HR office and any other duties within the accountabilities of the role.
