OUR COMPANY

T-Space is an established creative practice offering a full architectural design service.  Our client base ranges from high end private new builds to developments for commercial clients.  T-Space is looking to develop a multi-disciplinary company encompassing a wider range of skills.  An in-house Structural Engineer will form part of this broader suite of services.

We maintain a pleasant familial working environment in our own building in Wanstead, North East London, and pride ourselves on an experienced collaborative team that has taken years to assemble.

THE CANDIDATE

T-Space is looking to recruit a self-motivated Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience to take the engineering lead on our projects.  The job will be 3 days a week and based in the Wanstead office.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (or similar).  This person will work together with an office of architects, so the right person will need to be confident in their experience.

This could be a great opportunity for someone to start a practice (but not own it) with a very good pipeline of work, therefore they need to be a motivated self-starter if this placement is going work.

The successful candidate will need;

  • 5 years post qualification experience
  • To possess the required industry accreditations
  • The confidence & experience to meeting clients and ability to forge strong ongoing relationships
  • To communicate well, both written and oral, to all project stakeholders
  • An excellent knowledge of construction, both drawn and real
  • To be IT literate and fluent using the necessary industry software

THE SALARY

The salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from £35k - £45k pro rata.  Flexible working.  Workplace pension. There is also the possibility of a profit share should the role and this service develop.

To apply for this position please respond with a CV and portfolio (maximum 5MB) and salary expectations to [email protected].
