We are currently recruiting for a Payroll clerk to join a recruitment company ideally around 16 hours a week, this role can be on either 2 days Tuesday and Wednesday or 3 days Tuesday - Thursday .
The successful candidate will support in the following duties:
• Process Timesheets through a bespoke database and into Sage Payroll
• Process weekly and monthly pay for 100+ permanent employees (80/20 split weekly/monthly)
• Prepare, balance and submit financial year end information. Provide P60's and P11d's to employees
• Previous experience of processing end to end payroll is essential
• Must have sound working knowledge of:
• Tax, NI and PAYE legislation and the necessary statutory returns in a tax year
• HMRC RTI and documentation (P45's, P46's, P60's, P11d's)
• SSP/SMP/SPP and payroll legislation
• Pensions, childcare vouchers and other benefits
• Creating online BACs payments
• General ledger and journals
• Beneficial experience would be: of Auto Enrol Pension or Pension admin
• Accurate data entry and excellent communication skills are essential
• Must be well organised with a methodical approach to work
