Our client is the registered charity running community sports and educational activities on behalf of Watford FC. They are looking to recruit a part-time Project Officer (Older Adults), whose role will be to manage, help deliver and evaluate the Trust's Reminiscence and Extra-Time projects.

Position: Project Officer (Older Adults)

Salary: £19,000 - £24,000 pro-rata

Location: Watford

Duration: 3 year FTC, Part-Time 32 hours per week (flexible to your requirements)

Closing Date: Wednesday 1st May

Interview Date: Thursday 9th May

About the Role:

The role of Project Officer (Older Adults) presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and hard-working individual to join our client's team, based at Vicarage Road Stadium in Watford.

You will be the Dementia specialist for the Trust and will deliver and manage the Reminiscence project. This focuses on the history and heritage of the football club and aims to engage and support fans living with dementia or memory loss, and their carers.

The Extra-Time project is for people aged 55 years and over and aims to reduce social isolation and loneliness, by providing a service which promotes participants social, physical and emotional wellbeing.

In addition, the successful person will support the Trusts wider community activities and events, networking with local and regional health services in the public, and voluntary sectors, as well as working with dementia specialists and partner organisations involved in these projects.

About You:

As Project Officer (Older Adults) you will be an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual with significant knowledge and experience of working with people with dementia and their carers. You will work collaboratively with a range of partner organisations who specialise in dementia or memory loss.

You will have proven experience of recruiting, managing or supervising staff and volunteers, managing budgets and excellent IT and administration skills.

A full and valid UK Driving License, as well as access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
