My client, a large Oil & Gas client based in Canary Wharf are seeking a proactive individual to join their HR team.

You will be a part of the HR Service Centre which is the first point of contact for all UK based employees. The team is responsible for delivering HR policy and process support which may include, but is not limited to;

HR Administration

* Generates standard confirmation letters for UK employees

* Completes calculations for redundancy payments and part time salary calculations

* Provides references for current or previous employees

* Tracks and confirms probationary periods

* Completes administration for new hires & terminations

* Processes administration for UK payroll transfers

* Provides process/policy guidance to customers

Time

* Updates work schedules in SAP HR as necessary

* Answers employee time balance queries and completes appropriate investigations and corrections in SAP HR.

* Calculates and updates leave quotas in SAP HR for part time employees, employees returning from maternity leave and employees changing work pattern (e.g. offshore to onshore).

Payroll Support

* Payroll upload and validation

* Investigates general payroll matters which are a result of operational issues. Escalates technical or configuration issues to payroll team/provider.

SAP Data Maintenance

* Administers all personnel changes in SAP HR for UK employees, for example salary changes, transfers, leave of absences, terminations and new hires.

* Updates and maintains SAP organisation structure for UK positions, including creating or amending position's and organisation units.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Support and guidance on Managers Self Service portal and Employee Self Service portal

* Employee file management

* Reporting

* Project participation

This role will best suit a candidate looking to pursue a career within Human Resources with some previous knowledge of how a HR department works. The successful candidate would have an analytical mind-set with the capability to manage multiple tasks and have a passion to deliver excellent customer service.

Knowledge of working with an HR Information System is preferred. The candidate ideally would be qualified to a Bachelor degree level or equivalent.
