Position: Finance and Resources Director
Salary: Circa £55,000
Duration: Full time, permanent - 35 working hours per week

About the Role:
As Finance and Resources Director you will work alongside the Chief Executive and manage the full range of the organisation’s internal activities, in particular, distribution of funds and finance functions. You must be a leader who is able to help others deliver measurable, cost-effective results, to control costs and manage budgets, and to ensure the timing and scheduling of Strategic Programmes are well resourced and planned.
You will be responsible for the strategic delivery of 12 Quarter Business Plan and the development of new processes and activities to achieve it as well as distribution processes for our client’s funds (charitable activities and grant programmes). You will also be responsible for ensuring all infrastructure systems are fit for purpose, including HR system BreatheHR and SAGE. You will review and develop proposals to deliver the next level of IT and office systems that support the growth of specific programmes and the organisation overall
Our client is a values based organisation and as a pre-requisite the successful Finance and Resources Director will demonstrate a passion for breaking new ground to lead social change. Beyond that, they are seeking a candidate that has experience in scaling up and managing change within a budget.
You will have a professional accountancy qualification, (ACCA, ACA, CIMA), an MBA could be acceptable provided it is supported by substantial professional financial experience and sufficient technical knowledge to direct a finance function. You will also have an exceptional capacity for managing a successful team and leading people. A results focussed individual, you will have a proven track record of exceeding goals.
A thorough understanding of finance, systems, and HR, including strategic development and planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information systems, human resources, and marketing is key for this role.
