HR Manager (Part-time)
Location: Purfleet, Essex
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 pro rata
Hours of Work: c. 25 hours per week spread across 3 or 4 days. Flexible start / finish times and hours, with the possibility of working more hours in term time and less hours during holidays. Exact days and hours will be mutually agreed. Travel to Head Office in London Bridge approx. twice per month.

HR Manager Responsibilities:
Recruitment
* Assist line managers with preparation of job description, person specification
and advert
* Screen candidates and set up interviews. Agree interview questions with
line manager
* Participate in first interview. Provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates
* Produce employment contracts and other HR correspondence
* Liaise with recruitment agencies and negotiate fees
* Ensure all new starters undergo relevant induction training and have a successful transition into the company
* Perform new employee reviews (4 and 12 weeks)
Training
* Agree training plans with line managers
* Maintain BPR Group's Learning and Development plan
* Co-ordinate training courses - choose service providers and negotiate fees
* Prepare materials for internal training sessions
* Monitor completion of staff reviews (probation and regular) in line with company policy. Train new line managers in review process as required
Employee Relations
* Maintain up to date knowledge on employment law and regulations
* Provide advice and support to line managers, assisting with implementation of the Company's published policies and procedures
* Manage employee relations issues to resolution such as grievances, performance management and long-term sickness cases
* Support employee engagement initiatives and provide all employees with advice on current benefits
* Be active in developing a positive and productive culture in the workplace
HR Administration
* Investors in People - work with Compliance & HR Director to ensure IIP standards are being met
* Maintain the Company's Employee Handbook and update when necessary
* Track staff retention/length of service
* Complete relevant questions on tenders and pre-qualification documents
* Ensure all employee records and filing is up to date
* Perform exit interviews
* Any other duties as required
* Co-ordinate and analyse annual staff survey
HR Manager Requirements:
As our HR Manager you will have:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant HR role
* CIPD qualified or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Up to date knowledge of employment law and employee relations procedures and processes
* Experience of managing employee relations cases end to end, up to and including dismissal
* A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent time management skills
* Solid IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Positive, friendly and approachable
* The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
* Balance a busy workload with minimal direction
