Maths Lecturer (GCSE & Functional Skills)
22.5 hours per week | Permanent | £22,000-£30,000 pro rata per annum | Easton Campus

At Easton & Otley College we are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Maths Lecturer to join our Maths and English team at the Easton Campus.
This is a part time, permanent role, offering 22.5 hours (3 working days) per week. The working days will be confirmed once timetables are finalised, they can be negotiated. Please note this role is for a late August 2019 start in readiness for the new academic year.
The ideal candidate for this role will specialise in delivering GCSE Maths and Functional Skills lessons to our students. Previous experience, skills and/or knowledge in GCSE & Functional Skills is desirable.
This role will see you plan and deliver lessons effectively, identifying individual learning objectives to ensure that pupils are stretched to meet their full potential. You will have high expectations of learners, and effectively track their progress and assess the impact of your teaching. This role is eligible for a ‘Golden Hello' payment of £2,000 (pro-rata), subject to terms and conditions. A payment of £1,000 (pro rata for part time roles) will be made upon joining the organisation, followed by an additional identical payment following successfully completing and passing a 9 month probation period. Payments are subject to tax and national insurance deductions.
Whilst a teaching qualification would be an advantage it is not essential; as long as you have experience and qualifications in a relevant vocational subject we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in our College.
