Due to the successful implementation of our Pre Reg Nurse Band 4 role we are seeking full or part time committed individuals who are working towards NMC nurse registration. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for your professional development, and career progression to a Band 5 role. This will include working weekend and night shifts.

We are a dedicated, diverse and committed team caring for patients with acute abdominal conditions requiring surgery or medical management. We care for a wide range of surgical emergencies, including trauma patients. The majority of our patients are emergency admissions or step down patients from ICU & HDU. We also have Enhanced Recovery Pathways for Oesophageal and Colorectal surgery.

We have a very diverse and experienced team of nurses who will mentor and develop you in your role. Together with a full time practice educator you will be fully supported in developing a wide range of clinical skills. You will receive a comprehensive induction programme and direct clinical support. You will act as role model for others to aspire to, promoting best practice and the delivery of high quality, patient centred care.

You will hold a Level 5 Qualification\/Foundation Degree or NARIC equivalent.
  • Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.
  • Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)
