Disability Assessor

Meridian Business Support is one of the UK's leading providers of permanent and temporary recruitment to the Nursing, Health and Social Care sectors.

We are currently recruiting Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD), Paramedics, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists across the UK for exciting opportunities to become an approved qualified Disability Assessor. As a Disability Assessor, you will utilise your clinical knowledge and broad-based medical experience by carrying out face to face assessments and examinations in a holistic manner. Such assessments focus on how a person's health condition(s) can have an impact on day-to-day life. The role will require you to use IT systems and software to write clear and concise medical reports which will later be used for decision making purposes.

This is a permanent position with both full and part time available. The standard working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. No weekends, nights or bank holidays are required.

Previous experience as a Disability Assessor is not required as full comprehensive training is provided. We will consider applications from all levels of Nursing. However, the minimum requirement is 2 years post graduate experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with the general public.

The salary for the role is £41,000 per annum and includes a comprehensive benefit package: attendance bonus - up to £100 per month, additional assessment bonus - up to £85 per assessment, long service bonus every 6 months after a year's employment. Other benefits include: CPD funding - £400 per FTW, health cash plan, 29 days annual leave which increases with completed service and plenty more.
