About You

You will be creative and innovative in your approach to teaching and learning, this combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and recent relevant experience of teaching English for academic purposes will enable you to succeed.

You will be able to act as a role model, must be flexible and responsive to changing needs with a professional approach to work. A first degree and teaching qualification are essential.

About the Role

Edge Hill University Language Centre offers a number of English Language Improvement courses (including Pre-sessional and Language Development courses) and Modern Language courses.

English Language courses range from those aimed at preparing students for further academic study here at Edge Hill (Pre-sessional, International Foundation Year) to short summer programmes for those wishing to improve their English Language ability whilst learning about, and experiencing, British culture. 

You will work with the associate tutor team of bank staff in the delivery of the above programmes and activities at our Ormskirk campus. The successful applicants will be expected to work such hours as are mutually agreed them and their Line Manager, subject to student registration.
