Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant for a small accountancy firm based in Reading.  The ideal candidate must have advanced skills in accounting principles with at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. This is a full-time position with a family friendly employer that is open to flexible hours.

Responsibilities and experience

• Data entry of accounting information 
• Able to correct accounting errors and posts journal entry adjustments in a timely manner 
• Completes other accounting tasks as needed 
• Registration for PAYE, government gateway, VAT and pension 
• Other ad hoc accounting duties
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to compile professional and thorough accounting reports
• Willingness to learn and undergo CPD training 
• Able to monitor and tutor junior staff
• Excellent software skills including Word, Excel, Payroll software and HMRC online

Qualifications

• AAT Part 3/4
• ACCA part or complete 
• ICB
