Job Description

We are looking for someone who can cook lovely homemade traditional British food and bake cakes. We offer flexible hours 20-40 and flexible work times between 8-5 pm. Alternate weekends required. A late start (9am may be considered).

A fantastic opportunity to join a premium care home providing care for 60 older people. The person appointed to this key role will be joining a dedicated and friendly team, who are responsible for first class home-made food. We are looking for someone with a genuine love for food and commitment to quality. We need a good ‘all-rounder.’ Food is a vital part of our residents’ lives and this role is key to our quality of care. We have a top class, spacious kitchen, the best local ingredients and a very supportive team. You may not be a qualified chef, as we can offer the successful applicant any further training required, but you must be able to produce a delicious Sunday lunch!

Key duties and responsibilities of the Chef include;

• The preparation and serving of high quality food and ensuring that standard is maintained every day

• Communicating effectively with colleagues, management and residents.

Candidate requirements for the Chef vacancy:

• A passion for baking and cooking British classics

• Effective and reliable time keeping and time management

• Ability to follow instructions; work in a clean efficient manner, and contribute to the team
