Part-Time Category Planner 12 month FTC
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest UK food organisations who are currently seeking a team of Planners to join them due to new contracts and company expansion.
Job Role
Your role within the business is to improve both the customer satisfaction and increase profit for the company by managing the complete end-to-end process of stock from supplier, to Distribution Centres and finally onto the stores for a designated product portfolio.
Responsibilities
* You will need to manage the de-listed stock and overstocks ensuring they do not exceed set targets
* Collate and analyse data to ensure inventory is reduced whilst achieving and maintaining the stockholding targets
* Strong knowledge of service level agreements ensuring they are achieved and maintained at all times
* Proactive planning is key in hitting targets for seasonal events, promotions and general market trends, making adjustments where necessary
* Management of intake planning ensuring all processes are efficient and effective
* Forecasting needs to be monitored and reviewed accordingly with promotional and normal sales to ensure on-shelf availability targets are achieved
* You will need to develop excellent working relationships with existing and new suppliers, supporting with any issues that arise
* Management of the targets set for your portfolio of products to achieve the service level agreements of the customer
* Ensure optimum availability for all events and promotional activity, from the beginning until the end, to ensure that critical timescales are adhered to
* Work collaboratively with both the Trading and Distribution Centre colleagues to effectively resolve any issues internally
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring any issues are escalated accordingly within the business
* Ensure Best Practice is adhered to by all colleagues
* Continuous improvements identified and recommended to senior staff
Personal Profile
* Positive and proactive approach to work is essential
* A confident communication style is required
* Flexibility and the ability to work well with both internal and external contacts
* You will be organised and have the ability to plan
* Become a key team member
* You will need to be analytical and possess a good working knowledge of Excel
* Ability to demonstrate and monitor KPI’s
* You will need to be a creative problem solver
* Be able to present theoretical outcomes of your analysis and workings
