HESA have a new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their team in Cheltenham. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis (0.6FTE) and in return, you will receive a competitive a salary of £36,000 - £50,000 per annum, pro rata dependant on experience. HESA exists to advance education by collecting, analysing and disseminating data about the UK higher education sector. About the role: As our Management Accountant, you will report to the Head of Finance and provide a complete financial service to the Agency and to ensure that the financial records, structure and reporting meet business needs and statutory reporting requirements. You will also provide technical assistance, guidance and support to other members of Finance. Key duties and responsibilities of our Management Accountant: - Provide a full treasury management service for HESA. - Prepares a monthly suite of accurate company monthly management reports. - Provide budget holders within the Agency with timely, accurate and reliable financial information including summaries, analysis and explanations each month. - Acts as a Business Partner to HESA business areas, offering robust financial support and challenge. - Support the annual budget setting exercise. What we are looking for in our Management Accountant:  You will be CCAB qualified or have relevant work experience and knowledge. You will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of using ledger accounting software to record, analyse and report on financial transactions, with strong financial analysis and monthly reporting experience and experience of budget planning, preparation, analysis, monitoring and reporting. Knowledge of Charity Accounting and of the higher education sector is highly desirable.
